Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Overall responsibility for group-wide tax reporting across the organization, including collaboration with the finance and tax departments of the parent company
- Implementation and continuous development of the company's national and international tax strategy
- Oversight and further development of transfer pricing documentation and policies in coordination with international locations
- Professional and disciplinary leadership of the tax team, including the establishment of backup structures
- Resolution of complex tax-related issues and development of strategic short- and long-term solutions
- Ensuring compliance with national and international tax regulations and standards
- Identification and implementation of efficiency and cost-saving opportunities
- Active participation in the timely preparation and review of tax returns for entities across Germany and Europe, in coordination with internal and external partners
- Review, approval, and timely submission of VAT returns for German entities, and close coordination with finance teams for European subsidiaries
- Management and coordination of external and special tax audits at national and international levels
- Primary contact for the parent company’s tax department, external auditors, tax authorities, and tax advisors domestically and internationally
- Tax support for projects and corporate transactions
What you bring:
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a leadership role within the tax department of an internationally operating company or tax advisory firm
- In-depth knowledge of SAP and extensive experience in corporate tax reporting, ideally within an international corporate environment
- University degree in business, finance, law, or a related field with a focus on tax law or equivalent qualification
- Additional qualification as a certified tax advisor is a plus
- Strong service orientation and confident, diplomatic communication with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of initiative, accountability, and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across departments and countries
- Strong cost awareness combined with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
- Independent, structured, and resilient working style, even under time pressure
- Hands-on mentality and problem-solving approach with attention to detail and understanding of the bigger picture
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and strong SAP user skills
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in both English and German
